Slipping AwayIt had been beautiful. The night sky, the perfect dress swirling around her ankles. The look in his eyes as he watched her twirl around him. The laughter, the warm embraces, the quick kisses, the whispered words which made her want to fly.
The explosion had the whole balcony shaking. Then it crumbled into two, with her on one side and him on the other, the ground disintegrating beneath his feet.
She could still remember his look of surprise and panic, as he reached towards her one last time. She could still feel the sweatiness of her hands and the weakness in her arms of trying to pull a heavy weight from the force s Slipping Away
